Individual Relocation

1. Initial Contact

Initially we will either talk to you on the telephone or contact you by email to establish your needs. We will then either meet you in person or continue contact by phone and email.

2. Registration

Once instructed to act for you and on receipt of your registration fee, we will take comprehensive details from you. These will include everything from the type of property you are looking for to other important factors in your life such as schooling, access to rail and motorway links and recreational facilities.

3. The Search

The search for your new home will then begin. In addition to researching all normal avenues we will speak to our many personal contacts in the property world. Our connections within estate agency mean that we hear of properties very early on in the marketing process and in some cases before they are advertised to the general public.

This is advantageous to you in a market like Cambridge where time is of the essence and demand for houses often outstrips supply.

4. Viewings

We will then view as many properties as meet your criteria, on your behalf. We will ask the relevant questions of the vendors and estate agents at this stage. This will help rule out those properties which do not meet your needs.

5. Report

After the viewings we will report back to you on the properties we have seen. The report will be written and/or oral and will include emailed photos of the properties. We will then discuss the properties with you and arrange viewings of as many of the houses as are of interest to you.

6. Accompanied Viewings

We will accompany you on these viewings with prior agreement.

7. Negotiation

Once you have found a property you would like to buy or rent we will put forward your offer and negotiate with the estate agent on your behalf.

8. Conveyancing Process

After your offer has been accepted we will maintain contact with all the relevant parties throughout the conveyancing process until completion day is reached.

9. Welcome Pack

As part of Cambridge Property Search's welcome to Cambridge we then give you a Welcome Pack for your new home. It tells you about local events, places to visit, restaurants & cafes, music and the arts and is a useful compendium for starting your new life in Cambridge!
